PiP Support to E2E Providers

Providers in Partnership (PiP) is working very closely with the Learning & Skills Council (LSC), North Yorkshire to support providers in delivering E2E successfully across York & North Yorkshire.

An E2E Focus Event was held on Thursday 19 April  2007 with the overall aim of bringing together those providers delivering E2E, LSC and associated partner organisations. The event encouraged open, honest discussion and sharing of good practice. The feedback at the end of the event demonstrated that it was a success and enabled E2E providers to share experience, good practice, issues and concerns. It also encouraged E2E providers, PiP and LSC to discuss and agree the next steps.

Presentations were delivered on the day by;

  • Christine Makuve - Practice Manager, Youth Offending Team.
  • John Charmbury - E2E Regional Subject Lead for Yorkshire & The Humber, Quality Improvement Agency.
  • Chris James - Inspired Youth
  • David & Zoe - Edge Learner Forum Members.

Christine Maskill, Executive Director of Providers in Partnership facilitated the event and during the summary encouraged the E2E providers present to share their views and suggestions for follow up support.

Jane Venn, Partnership Manager, LSC North Yorkshire attended the event and endorsed the support to providers.

Next Steps

PiP will work closely with E2E providers with the support of LSC North Yorkshire to develop the agreed next steps;

  • E2E Good Practice Cluster Groups (quarterly meetings for front line E2E staff)
  • Facilitate a counselling course for E2E practitioners.
  • Facilitate RARPA training
  • Research the availability of an outward bound course
  • Research generic E2E marketing materials
  • Help to develop improved links with schools in York & North Yorkshire to positively promote E2E
  • To further develop relationships with referring agencies (invite to PiP network meetings in specific geographical areas across York & North Yorkshire)
  • To promote a regional E2E event encouraging the sharing of good practice across Yorkshire & The Humber
